It’s a big year for YPT! We’re turning 30 and we’re kicking off our anniversary celebrations in our own neighborhood of Takoma, DC, with an art installation at Willow Street Gallery.

This interactive gallery installation, presented in partnership with DC Arts Studios, will feature a garden-themed collage of photos, news clippings, performance posters, and other YPT memorabilia, guiding viewers through YPT’s history, impact, and stories over the past three decades. The gallery will also include creative activities for young people (and the young at heart) and interactive experiences that invite guests to harness their inner playwrights and contribute their own dreams and wishes for the future. 

This is just the first event of a whole anniversary season packed with performances, programs, celebrations, awards, storytelling, and a lot of fun! So, we hope you’ll follow along and join us at all of our events!
