Inspired by revisiting our history for YPT’s 30th Anniversary and Silence is Violence‘s 10th Anniversary, YPT Artistic Director Farah Lawal Harris and Productions Manager Keta Newborn began looking for new and innovative ways to tell the story of Silence is Violence. Through a mixture of scripted performances, interviews, poetry readings, and music, Silence is Violence: The Podcast is a four-episode series detailing key moments and performances from Silence is Violence’s 10-year history.

Starting Nov. 12, new episodes will premiere monthly right here on YPT’s website and on popular podcasting platforms.

Episode 1: It Was Like God Scarred Us

Episode 2: American Nightmare

Silence is Violence: The Podcast was written and directed by Farah Lawal Harris
Audio production by Crystal “Xperience J” Judkins
Production Management by Keta Newborn
Production Assistance by Azsia Green
Additional script and audio production support provided by Tristan Willis and Cody Bahn
